Puhua School Realizes an Excellent School with a Culture of Safety

Banyumas—At Puhua School, the concept of "exemplary school" is not only measured by academic programs and student activities but also by the extent to which the school is prepared to protect all its members from various risks, including fire. Safety is viewed as a core competency, not just an add-on. Therefore, Puhua has made it a culture that is lived together by teachers, staff, and educational personnel.
One tangible manifestation of this commitment is the routine Fire Extinguishing Simulation held in collaboration with CV. Proteksindo Berkah Abadi on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the Mini Stadium of Puhua School as part of the implementation of the Disaster Safe Education Unit (SPAB). This activity was attended by all teachers and educational staff, including staff, security personnel, and cleaning staff. It was not just a few people who were trained, but the entire school team was invited to understand the steps that need to be taken when facing a fire, so that preparedness is not just on paper, but truly possessed by the people working in the field..

Guided by professional instructors, participants learn to recognize various types of Portable Fire Extinguishers (PFE), check their conditions, select the appropriate type of PFE for the source of the fire, and study the correct usage techniques. Knowledge that may have previously been limited to theory is translated into practical skills that can be applied in seconds during an emergency. In the disaster-safe educational unit standards, Puhua not only develops SOPs but also trains its citizens to be ready to implement them.
With the guidance of an instructor, the Puhua team took turns practicing fire extinguishing using fire extinguishers and rehearsing the steps they had learned. This hands-on experience serves as an important preparation for every member of the school to be more ready, alert, and not easily panicked in case they need to respond to an emergency situation.

In a fire situation, every second counts; trained skills can be the difference between danger and safety. At Puhua, this preparedness is seen as part of service quality, not a trivial matter.
For Puhua School, a quality learning environment must be built on a foundation of safety, care, and shared responsibility. An excellent educational program will be meaningless if children learn in a place that does not prioritize safety. Therefore, every training and preparation conducted, including fire drills, is part of the school's commitment to ensure that all members of the school community are ready to look out for each other's safety.
This commitment is expected to bring peace of mind to parents when entrusting their children to learn and grow at Puhua School.
Puhua School cares about risk prevention, truly considering the future of children as a whole: not just being "smart in class," but also being safe, protected, and surrounded by adults who know what to do when risks arise.
Safety starts with awareness, preparedness, and teamwork.
And in Puhua, all of that becomes part of the school's identity that is safe for all its inhabitants. Puhua Jiayou!
