Puhua School Commemorates the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence through Independence Day Ceremony

Banyumas—On August 17, 2026, Puhua School commemorated the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia with a flag ceremony at the Puhua Mini Stadium. This event was attended by all students from elementary to high school, teachers, and staff in a shared spirit of nationalism. In the KBTK unit, the independence commemoration was also held through a morning assembly with students, teachers, and parents.
For Puhua, Independence Day is not just a ceremonial agenda. This moment becomes a real space for character education, where students learn to respect the nation's struggles, understand their identity as Indonesian citizens, and realize that the future of this country is in the hands of a generation that is knowledgeable, has integrity, and cares for others.
This year's ceremony also provides an opportunity for students to take on direct roles. The ceremony officials and the Flag Raising Team are made up of middle and high school students, the choir consists of elementary school students, while the kindergarten children have the chance to be the flag ceremony officers according to their developmental stage. Through this experience, students learn to present themselves confidently, be disciplined in preparing tasks, work together, be responsible, and appreciate trust.

When students lead the ceremony, raise the Red and White flag, sing the national anthem, or carry out tasks in front of their peers, they are practicing to become individuals ready to take on roles in life.
In her address, Ms. Anggih Saraswati, S.Si., as the Deputy Head of Secondary, invited students to embody the theme of the 81st Independence Day of Indonesia, "Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia."
This value is present in the daily lives of students, listening to friends with different opinions, completing tasks honestly, respecting teachers and educational staff, and having the courage to do what is right. Puhua stands as a school that is deeply rooted in national values while also being open to diversity and the global world.

Through trilingual education, Puhua shapes a generation that is confident, appreciates culture, and is ready to interact broadly without losing its identity. Nationalism is manifested in discipline, honesty, unity, respect, and readiness to contribute to the environment and the nation.
Dirgahayu Republik Indonesia ke-81!
Indonesia Berdaulat, Adil, dan Makmur!
