Speak, Lead, Serve! Election of the President and Vice President of the Student Council of Puhua Secondary School for the 2026/2027 Period

Banyumas—At Puhua School, character development is built when students are entrusted to speak, take on roles, face differences, and be responsible for the decisions they make. One of the real learning spaces is present through the election of the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Student Council for the 2026/2027 period at Puhua Lower and Upper School.
For Puhua, the student council election is not just about determining who will lead the student organization. It is a process of democratic education that invites students to directly experience important values in life based on Pancasila through the courage to express ideas, the ability to formulate a vision, an open attitude towards criticism, appreciation for differing opinions, and the willingness to accept results maturely.

Students are not just spectators, but active participants in the community they build together. This year, two candidate teams are present, bringing visions, ideas, and enthusiasm to continue the journey of the Puhua Student Council:
- -Trilon 1: Sisi (11R), Angel (11R), and Kenji (9M)
- -Trilon 2: Nando (11A), Stevie (10S), and Darrell (9A)
During the campaign period, both teams introduced their vision, mission, and work plans to their peers. The candidates learned to express their aspirations confidently, while the students learned to listen, evaluate programs, and consider leaders they believe can represent the needs of the school community.
This process continued with the candidate debate on Monday, August 10, at Puhua Secondary School Field. Guided by the student election committee, the candidates answered questions in four segments: common questions, choices, mutual questioning, and audience questions collected through the Puhua student council's Instagram poll. The debate is not a space for undermining each other, but rather a practice for expressing opinions politely, responding to challenges calmly, and respecting different perspectives.

On Wednesday, August 12, all students and teachers exercised their voting rights through a ballot in the hall. The vote counting was conducted openly as part of a practice of transparency and honesty. From this process, the pair Sisi, Angel, and Kenji were elected as the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Puhua Student Council for the 2026/2027 term.
At Puhua, students are given the space to understand that leadership is not just about standing at the front or holding a position, but about listening, serving, collaborating, learning to make decisions based on the interests of the organization, and being responsible for the trust placed in them.
This process becomes an important part of the students' journey. They not only develop academically but also grow into individuals who can appreciate differences, act with integrity in decision-making, and are ready to contribute positively wherever they are.
Congratulations to Sisi, Angel, and Kenji on the trust given to you. May you lead with humility, build collaboration, and bring a new spirit to the Puhua family. Jiayou!
