Puhua School Basketball Team Harvests Champions at the Banyumas Basketball League 2026

Banyumas—From August 22 to 29, 2026, the basketball team of Puhua School participated in the Banyumas Basketball League (BBL) 2026 at GOR Satria, Purwokerto. This inter-school competition for the Banyumas Regency provides a platform for students from elementary to high school to showcase their skills, test their readiness, and learn to compete with a spirit of sportsmanship.

Impressive results were achieved by the Puhua team. The Junior High School Girls, Senior High School Girls, and Senior High School Boys Division 2 teams successfully secured 1st place. Meanwhile, the Mixed Elementary School and Junior High School Boys teams performed competitively, reaching the semifinals. Individual achievements were also attained by Zidane from class 10T, who received the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for Division 2. However, for Puhua, success is not only measured by trophies, medals, or final standings in competitions. More than that, this achievement is the result of a learning process that shapes students' character. On the basketball court, the children learn that skills do not develop overnight. They learn to be punctual, practice consistently, accept guidance, be brave enough to correct mistakes, manage emotions during tight matches, and continue to respect opponents and the rules of the game.

The achievements of BBL this year are also more meaningful because several teams have undergone member changes this academic year. Out of many students who registered, 15 students were selected as the core team of the PAV Basketball Achievement. Together with the new members, they underwent intensive training for about a month before competing. In a relatively short time, the students learned to build chemistry, understand each other's strengths, develop strategies, and fight as a unit. This is one of the important values of 21st-century education: children must not only master academic material. They also need resilience, communication skills, teamwork, discipline, leadership, decision-making, and the courage to face pressure with a positive attitude.

Through the PAV Achievement Basketball program, Puhua provides a real experience for students to practice their skills in a directed and supportive environment. The journey of the Puhua basketball team is accompanied by coaches and teachers committed to developing both the abilities and character of the students. Coach Riza Datuk supports the boys' basketball team, Coach Dhieka manages the girls' basketball team, and Coach Bambang guides the SD Mix team. The students also receive support from Mr. Bobby Ilham Wazhary, S.Pd., Mr. Purwidariyatmoko, S.Pd., and Mr. Zidan Rehta Fawzi, S.Psi.

The presence of coaches and teachers is not just to devise game strategies. They accompany students to understand the meaning of the process, maintain motivation, manage team dynamics, and grow as student-athletes with integrity. Every victory is celebrated with humility. Every defeat is turned into an evaluation. Every practice is an opportunity to become better than the day before.

Thank you for the full support of parents in providing a safe and quality space for them to discover their interests, build self-confidence, and develop their potential in a balanced way.

Congratulations to all the students, coaches, parents, and accompanying teachers on the outstanding achievement in the Banyumas Basketball League 2026. Keep practicing, keep growing, and keep moving forward together with spirit, discipline, and the best character.
